02 settings for mms

just thought i wood post the working setting for anyone having trouble getting there mms settings to work with 02 these worked for me 1st time i think this will work on all phones so as long as you know how to get into the APN settings your fine if not with my san francisco ( which i flashed with the help off this forum thanks guys great job ) its menu - settings - wireless and network - mobile networks - access point names - and then if its blank when you get in there press menu and then new APN and remember when finished putting data in to hit menu and then save or you will have to do it all again

Name: mobile web

APN: mobile.o2.co.uk

Proxy: *LEAVE BLANK*

Port: *LEAVE BLANK*

Username: web

Password: password

Server: *LEAVE BLANK*

MMSC: *LEAVE BLANK*

MMS Proxy: *LEAVE BLANK*

MMS Port: *LEAVE BLANK*

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN Type: default

Press 'Menu'

Tap 'Save'

Press 'Back'.

Press 'Menu'.

Tap 'Add APN'

Name: O2 MMS

APN: wap.o2.co.uk

Proxy: http://wap.o2.co.uk

Port:9201

Username: o2wap

Password: password

Server: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

MMSproxy: 193.113.200.195

MMS port: 8080

MCC: 234

MNC: 10

APN type: mms

Press 'Menu'

Tap 'Save'

Settings for Pay and Go customers.

1) Internet Settings:

Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk/

APN address: payandgo.o2.co.uk

Gateway (IP) address: 193.113.200.195

Username: payandgo

Password: password

Session type: Continuous or permanent

Authentication: Normal

Security: Off

Port number: 9201.

2) Picture messaging settings:

Data Bearer: GPRS

Access Point Node (APN): payandgo.o2.co.uk

User ID: payandgo

Password: password

Authentication: Normal

Gateway: 193.113.200.195

MMS Message Server: http://mmsc.mms.02.co.uk:8002

Session Mode: Permanent.

Finally got the market working properly on 2.2!

OP Andy's settings have enabled me to send mms..yay..still can't receive tho..just get a blank text..even that disappears when i look again lol. May seem petty problem but it's just so freakin annoying and I hate to surrender :D tho I probably will have to :D :P x

Could someone please direct me to where i put these settings in - I've tried

Messages - Menu - Settings - ??

I can see Service Centre but that is just for the phone number

OK worked it out and all working from the below instructions

1.Press the Menu key

2.Tap Settings

3.Tap Wireless & networks

4.Tap Mobile networks

5.Tap Access Point Names

6.Press the Menu key

7.Tap New APN

8.Tap Name then tap the text box and enter O2 Pay Monthly MMS then tap OK

9.Tap APN then tap the text box and enter wap.o2.co.uk then tap OK

10.Tap Proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK

11.Tap Port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK

12.Tap Username then tap the text box and enter o2wap then tap OK

13.Tap Password then tap the text box and enter password then tap OK

14.Skip past Server as this is preset as Not set

15.Tap MMSC then tap the text box and enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK

16.Tap MMS proxy then tap the text box and enter 193.113.200.195 then tap OK

17.Tap MMS port then tap the text box and enter 8080 then tap OK

18.Tap MCC then tap the text box and enter 234 then tap OK

19.Tap MNC then tap the text box and enter 10 then tap OK

20.Press the Menu key

21.Tap Save

22.Tap your new account so a green dot appears next to it

23.Press the Back key four times to return to the standby screen.
