3g/Wifi option whilst opening web bound apps

Hi guys, after finally debranding my Sfran I have an issue with the data connections.

As the sim is PAYG, i'm not going to be leaving 3g on and prefer it on demant as my nokia x6 does, also to save battery I like to have the wifi off when not in use.

now with my nokia its simple, both are off until I need it, ie if I open opera I get a prompt to select wifi or 3g data before continuing, can the same be done to my Sfran?

I just had to look for an app for a similar reason. I went out today for 2 hours and thank god I can't connect to 3g around here because I used 10 meg without doing anything on gprs.

The first thing I did when I got back was install NetSentry which shows you how much data you are using and lets you set limits for the month. Now I'm installing SwitchPro Widget which should let me turn off the data, gps etc easily.
