Rooting Motorola Defy

Hi,

Has anybody rooted the Motorala Defy yet? I have just received the phone and am getting used to it quite quickly after years with a Nokia. Am I right in thinking that rooting would allow apps to be installed to SD card, and possible update to Froyo?

What other things would rooting allow me to do? Just found this video of how to root the Defy http://motorola--inc--mot.famousstocks.com...obile-motorola/ - can anybody verify this is kosher and is it reversible ( just in case).
