Guest NewAngel Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 What about all the other official roms? 1.100.39.EMEA.GEN1 2.100.07.EMEA.GEN1 Or even the 2.2 release? 0.007.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.0 4.502e.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.03 4.503.00_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.03 4.002.02_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.04_A1_Pass_protect Hi, As writen by Malez, the latest oficial ROM is 1.100.09 in Android 2.1. Others as 1.100.71.AAP.CSL are "Leak", so it's not "official". It's the reason you don't find it on Acer's site. They are provided by people knowing people who know people... . To resume, people who gravitate in proximity sphere of ACER. For the 2.2 release, it's the same. At this time no official ROM on Acer's site. Only the Canada site of Acer provided a new ROM yesterday, but not compatible to all phones (French,...) at this time. Generally, you can find a post on this site for each Leak, so you can read about the last in 2.1 or test 2.2 if you want. Personnally, I turn on 2.2 without problems. Enjoy New@ngel
Guest RamZu Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Ok... once again the same S**** Downloaded the last release from the Acer site "Acer_LiquidE_1.100.09_EMEA_GEN1" and install it. When the Acer Liquid Upgrade Utility said I connect my phone and the actual phone version appear, clicked next and it start to make the upgrade. After a wile it returns an error and give me some steps to follow. Make all the steps but the Retry button still grey. Try on another PC but this time it dosn't show my version. Looks like it dosn't recognize my phone. The phone turns on and all seems to be fine. When connect via USB it begins to charge if turned off. Can anyone help me here?

Download the necessary files from this link: http://www.fileserve.com/file/zp37NrD a) ROM 2.1 for SD card: Unzip this zip file to have update.zip and image folder c) Insert a new SD card or your SD card to PC and format it d) Copy update.zip and image folder to root folder of SD card e) Insert SD card in your Liquid and follow up the SD card flash process ( as my last notice)

Guest RamZu Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Hi Renzs. Saw your post after doing that but thanks anyway. New machine - Win7 x64 Install acer drivers Download 1.100.05.EMEA.GEN1 Turn Off the phone and fastboot it Connect the USB cable and after that the windows Finaly reconize the phone. Start the ADT and got all green. The only thing that make me think was the QCN error. Remove the phone, turned on and..... Voila, everything works. After that I connect it to the pc again and try to upload to the last version using the file in the Acer site but it still dont recognize my phone. No problem. I'm using the image that you post and try to update via ADT. 10xs to all your replys.

I wonder if subsequent flash will save QCN? or no QCN to save? Maybe to check if your 1st machine used to flash contain C:\A1_QCN an inside some *.xml file. That would be your QCN. Hope it works for you! ~renzs
Guest RamZu Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Don´t know what appened but I only made the upgrade and everything works fine. Made and received calls, use the wifi and BT and all works ok. I've only noticed that the phone is a little bit slow but nothing to worry. Don't know about the QCN but I'm still trying to learn about it.
Guest RamZu Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 As I said earlier, I've made an update using ADT and didn't have any troble as I didn´t worry about the QCN. But as I read some messages in forums I guess I was lucky. So my questions is... How can I make backup of my QCN?
Guest RamZu Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I guess that this is a stupid question but can anyone give me a hint? It's just because I want to upgrade the version and I'm afraid of losing something. Sorry for the bump.
