THIS IS THE OFFICIAL ROGERS ROM. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY STUPID THINGS YOU DO RESULTING IN THE INABILITY TO USE YOUR PHONE ON ANY OTHER PROVIDER.

Anyhow, now what that's out of the way. It's uploaded as update.zip, yes, I'm sorry for that. Rename it and flash it over a leak via Malez Recovery.

Device information works, baseband looks to be the same, seems very snappy! No Acer UI though.

Devs, do as you will, credit me though please  I just worked for a few hours to get this to flash in Malez.

I'm just waiting for the EMEA before going through any flashing nonsense... It must be released sometime in the near future, and is likely what all future Froyo roms are going to be based on anyway

awesome work, can't wait to dl, just one question.

I read somewhere that there is no acer ui. But does this have the status bar from acer ui? I really enjoy using that and the new lock screen with launcher pro.

Unfortunately no, as of now there is no Acer UI.

I could possibly try porting it from the last leak though. That'll be tomorrow's task.

tried this using nandroid and it works great. I can download all the apps I bought before (especially golfshot from shotzoom). only crummy part is that UI is the same before and the status bar is white, not black.

Hey... try the new Android 2.2 ROM with Acer UI and full apps as below instructions. It works fine with my Liquid E now

If you have a Liquid E, you can use the below method to flash Liquid E with using Acer download tool

You can download Froyo ROM of Liquid E from below links

1) Download the Acer download tool from this link: http://www.fileserve.com/file/xd35mjA

2) Download BIN file of Froyo version from this link : http://www.fileserve.com/file/CRfqZQ8

After finishing the downloads,

1)pls unzip both of them

2) Run acer_DownloadTool.exe

3) Select the correct .BIN file

4) Connect Liquid E via USB. Select "Mount" to connect Liquid to your PC

5) Click "Start" to start flashing the Froyo ROM

6) Don't disconnect USB cable until the flash finishs and you see the completed message

Good luck! Enjoy your Liquid E with Froyo

Can someone who upgraded from the latest Acer froyo leak confirm if there are any improvements or benefits from flashing to this version? It is strange that Rogers ROM does not have the Acer UI. Has anyone confirmed if the Acer UI is completely missing or if it is just not set as the default theme (since the leaks had both default Android and Acer UI)?
