Would imagine it's a signal problem. Try another networks sim card and also if its just the bars showing greay you still have a signal it's only when you have a x next to the bars you don't have any. You tried APN settings for it?

Think these are them, im not sure if there right

Go into, settings, wireless and networks, mobile networks, network operators. Let it do its thing then choose auto selection. If that does not work try manual selection

This may be a daft question, but which country? The unlock message shows the code worked so the issue now is (a) actually being in range of a signal from your new provider, and (b) adding correct APN settings for data services if you're not running a ROM that has them already.

It's completely legal to SIM unlock any phone. If you get network coverage with your Orange SIM, and when you put in the Lebara SIM it doesn't ask you for an unlock code, that suggests the unlock was successful, and that you simply don't have any network coverage where you are for your Lebara SIM, or it's been locked etc.

Make sure you put your SIM back in the right way around.

After I unlocked mine, I somehow managed to put the SIM in upside down and it took me ages (well, about ten minutes) to work out why I wasn't getting any service!

D'oh!

Well, you're unlocked OK, then? And we should assume you're in the UK? Just check the SIM's contacts (electric!) are clean and it's seated nicely. After that, maybe Lebara can check what's happening with your attempted connections to their network.

Not registered on network means that the current network selected isnt what matches the sim thats in. If you go to post 3 and follow the details tomqman said then hopefully it'll be fine, also does lebara have roaming to another network? if so then try turning roaming on see if this works. Could be the coverage within your area. Roaming may cost you though but any good provider wont charge.

Edit: What's Vodafone like in your area? only asking because lebara runs on Vodafone's network if your in the UK.
