Guest TheShak Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Hi Alan, Do you know if this works for the Liqiud A1 or just Liquid E? I've noticed that the French Acer site is getting ready to push the official 2.2 Froyo out for Liquid E ... thanks

Guest Harness Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) +1  Atm, I believe it's LiquidE only. If you guys can get us a link to the zip file, I'm sure one of us will remove the restriction and someone (not me! >_<) will be able to remove the a1 device lock. yea just find acerril.conf in /etc and change it to 0 from 1 ;0 I see, that was easy. Thanks! Edited November 17, 2010 by Harness
Guest stanleylhs Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Is this a wipe room? Will it keep all the app and data on the phone? I am new to this phone, and I have only flashed the leaked bin once and it works out great! So can I flash this rom on my Hong Kong Liquid E as an update.zip?

It's basically like flashing a new bin. But not.

Guest KingsizeX Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Flashed it over Roggin's CM6.1 and it works great! - I like ADW being configured Galaxy S style - Rom is very smooth (looks very polished) - So far everything (hardware) is working - Battery consumption is great My phone is Acer Liquid A1 (256MB) and I'm on Vodafone-PT

Guest komienski Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 relative noob running the second latest froyo leak so I... 1. rename this to update zip, place in root of sd 2. do a nandroid backup just in case 3. apply it through malez correct? gotta make sure.
Guest alan090 Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 no need to rename - just flash through malez with or without signed check - no restrictions - should work fine on any liquid
Guest TheShak Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 thanks Alan, I guess ALL (Rogers, Fido &lite) should work? What one do you recommend?
Guest TheShak Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) the last baseband is ? It seems like this is same as the last leak 05.01.05 also the version number is almost the same the last leak LEAK = 4.002.08 Rog/Fido = 4.001.08 Maybe its a country code or something... but seems last leak and this are almost the same... p.s. I've not flashed this, just reading the other post about this thanks Edited November 17, 2010 by TheShak
Guest bais Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) That doesn't mean anything in that case. It's like saying 4.504.00 leak is newer than 4.002.08. Actually I see no way to know if these official ROMs are newer than our leaks or not. What I find surprising is the non presence of the Acer UI in those official ROMs, so I wonder, did Rogers (Fido) ask Acer to remove Acer UI, or will the EMEA official ROM also be stock android only? Waiting for the thrilling (or not) conclusion  . Edited November 17, 2010 by bais
