What is needed for official 2.2 update

Ok, don't think this has been asked before, but if it has - firstly very sorry and secondly I just can't find a clear answer!

- What do you need to be running to be able to receive and install the official 2.2 update when released on an O2 locked Streak?

Since buying my Streak I have subsequently upgraded from the official 1.6 to Steves 2.2 v 1.1 possibly 1.1.1, I'm guessing I have changed the baseband as I don't recall what it was originally (currently 20321-EU and the kernal is 2.6.32.9)

I'm guessing I will need to downgrade to an old official version of Android but what too, and with what baseband?

Hi extrememonkey, I would wait until a confirmed download has happened and one kind user shares the .pkg file with the rest of us.

Dell announced this would start happening from Monday [i think] and absolutely no one has confirmed a successful download and install

I personally will not be installing the update and instead be pressuring the usual suspects via twitter to release the source code so that the handful of devs we are lucky enough to have in this community can get to work on something a bit more un-dell like

Oh sorry and in answer to your question instead of just giving you my opinion you will probably need to be running either the flaky o2 2.1 release or the 1.6 fw both can be found in the growing number of threads appearing for people that want to go back to stock :rolleyes:

I want to know this as well as nice as Steve's 2.2 is I would like to go to the offical ROM for now
