i don't know if there is a guide on here but is there an easy way to sync my contacts with my facebook? i don't want all my Facebook contacts though, just the ones in my phone book.

Luckily I have managed to get this to work perfectly. Here's what I did:

Rename all contacts to resemble facebook contact name (Preferably with PCSuite)

Open Facebook for Android hit the menu button then settings

Scroll down to Sync Contacts

Then pres Sync With Existing Contacts Only

Press Ok

Now it should sync.

Some things I've noticed

If a friend has a middle name using facebook 90% of the time it will not recognise the contact

If the above occurs the 10% of it works by removing the middle name and only having First and Last

There is a free app on the market called Facebook Sync, you can link your facebook profiles to your phone contact's one-by-one as you wish.
