Guest igors_s Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 (edited) Switched over to T-Mobile recently as they do awesome deals. But to my dissapointment found out that they are severely throttling all voip traffic including skype. Skype connects but calls cut out after 4-5 seconds. So, natural solution is VPN. if they can't see the traffic they can't throttle it. Has anyone had any luck connecting to Windows 7 PPTP VPN using the native client in android (one found in the settings app)? It just hangs on 'Connecting..' for a while before erroring out. I know the whole setup will work because i can connect to my home vpn using an ipod touch via sanfransico hotspot. Skype and voip run perfectly there. While this does work it's a very long winded way, I'd much rather do it all from the phone itself. Any suggestions? Edited November 17, 2010 by igors_s
