Dialling from Browser search results not working

Hello,

Recently I upgraded to Fibbles 2.2.

I tried clicking a search result telephone number in the browser but all that happens is a new web page error opens up and the address is tel:(the number) but nothing happens. Says web page unavailable.

It seems as though the intent is not connecting, any ideas?

I never tried this on 2.1 so don't know if it is a Rom-wide problem.

Andy, I'm not understanding what you mean by this. Its probably a trick I don't know about!

If I click on the number shown in one of the boxes it just opens a new webpage with the address of "tel:[thenumber]" but the dialer doesn't initiate.

New trick for me!

Pressing the phone-number-button seems to copy the number, bring up the dialler and paste the number in, so (only) needing a press on the big green button to make the call. (Stock 2.1 rom)

I guess it's a 2.2 issue to be resolved in the future...

I noticed this problem with 2.2 yesterday. However on the 'Web page not available' page, tel:(the number) appears as a link which you can long press to dial.

Looks like that workaround will have to do.

Shame, seems like an easy enough thing to fix but I don't know where to start.

just tried this for myself, run ning flibblesan's r3a froyo rom, clicking on the button brings up the dialer screen with the number showing, just waiting for me to prsee dial. Running Dialler One.
