Dell dissolves mobile unit; exec Ron Garriques to step down in January

According to the Wall Street Journal, Dell has filed documents with the SEC that indicate that Ron Garriques, head of the company's mobile device unit, will officially leave the company in January. Garriques' unit will then be disbanded and its products, which include the Android powered Streak, will be absorbed by other parts of the company. The Journal reports that Garriques will serve the company as a consultant during the remainder of 2011. Dell is scheduled to report its third quarter financials on Thursday.

yep they are taking it into core, from what we know..

Several of the linux team are moving over to android, and there's a big shakeup in how they do stuff (including working with users and community) coming.. All positive for us!
