Guest extrememonkey Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Hello peeps, Just a very quick question.... I am currently running Steves 1.1.1 with baseband 20321-EU, now when the official O2 2.2 update comes out I will at least want to try it. My question is would it be easier for me to stay as I am for the time being running 1.1.1 in respect to my baseband or should I update to 1.3 and also chamge my baseband which would make it harder to Install the official update? Thanks in advance for your advice/opinions eM

Thanks in advance for your advice/opinions eM It might be easier to "upgrade" to the official 2.2 if you are on 1.3 but for now I strongly recommend you stay with 1.1.1! There are far to many problems with both 1.2 and 1.3 for the time being! But this is just my view on the matter!
Guest adzman808 Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 +1 on OrionBG's post for my €0.02, i wouldn't push to be the 1st in line for the official 2.2, let the nil patience & developer guys run with it first... once the official one has been out for week or so, they'll undoutedly be many guides, tips & tricks published on here & xda to aid your decision & facilitate your upgrade process I've tried Steve's 1.2 & went straight back to v1 its not that 1.2 is a bad realse in any way but the bugs are kinda relevent to personal usage... for example, i use music a lot, so that bug with the external sound annoyed me, i never wifi tether, so Steve fixing that in 1.2 was "meh" for me other people aren't fussed about the music problem - but need the tethering, so they need 1.2 or 1.3 so if you're aware of the bugs on each release (& they really are all mentioned on here in one thread or another) it's easy to pick the release for you. I'd be surprised if there wont be an improved version of official 2.2 unofficially tweaked to be even better (prob by Steve, the guy's a legend of rom output!!!) available at some point HTH?
