I could check this out in more detail when I get home, but I thought I should check with you guys firts (especially since an orange shop is right around the corner from me)

Basically, when using my phone today it switched itself off, and then refuses to turn itself back on. This is coming from around 75% battery, and without prior signs of battery failure.

I was wondering if this sounds fixable.

Dont know if this is related but my phone just completely shut off last night with about 50% battery left.

It wouldnt even switch on.

So i removed the battery & refitted & it sprang to life again.

Done that. When I press the power button after a refit and there is not even a little sign of power from the back button as you would normally get.

There are a couple of things I have done:

-Unlocked it

-Switched to a giffgaff sim yesterday

I have also rooted it, but this was around a month ago.

EDIT:

Just been to the shops around the corner. My phone isn't even responding to power from the mains directly. It is completely blown.

Try this:

Connect the phone to your charger, then push the reset button that's located just above the sim card. (you'll need to use something thin to push the button)

My phones looked dead a few times and the above usually works for me.

That seemed to have helped, thanks.

I now have a working phone, but the power button seems a bit off. I really need to hold it for it to work. At least the phone is working now.

My power button's behaving the same, have to either hold it for a while or push it multiple times before it responds.

Think the phones faulty, haven't had a chance to send it back yet.
