How can i manualy update to 2.3

Hi all, i am sorry but my english is not best as it not my first language -)))

any way, i have nexus one with

(BASEBAND VERSION 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.12_7)

(KERNEL VERSION 2.6.32.9-27227-G3C98B0D ANDROID-BUILD@APA26 *1)

(BUILD NUMBER- MoDaCo Custom ROM r21 For the Google Nexus One (FRF91)

I had update icon on my phone i guess it was for 2.3 but for some reason i couldn't update it, i guess be coz of my custom Rom and rooted nexus one.

??? how can i manually download update and intall it????

??? if i update to newer version will i loose my root privilege ????

???? is it worth to update or not???

plz give me some advice about what to do...

As I recall it was an update to the Market not for 2.3, it was all over twitter about how Nexus owners were getting excited for no reason B)

i keep receive notification on software update but cant update. what shell do ? -((((
