The standard ZTE Blade froyo rom does display small icons, it has been fixed in custom roms that you can find on here. As for the google connection problem, this is also a known problem. If I remember rightly, the way to fix it is to make sure that your first connection after install is through 3G.

These are more complete (With workarounds) You still have to do the market work around of connecting to Gtalk over 2g/3g before you can use market over wifi

You have to change the density under build.prop and then the screen will display normaly.. as for the google servers you have to connect thro 3g and not wireless. Thats a common problem with the leaked chinese rom. Edited November 19, 2010 by The-One
Guest MUI4 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Thanks for the help. I have sorted google apps. Now just need to figure out what I need to do to sort the size issue. Absolute last time I try anything like this, it's just not for me.

Guest ptdborth Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 fwiw, it's not you - you did everything correct. just an incorrect value by whoever packaged it. The creator of that ROM does state that he did it on purpose as he preferred the look, it wouldn't be too bad if the other apps/services worked (well, looked right) with the density like that, but as we all know..they don't B) Paul
