Clockwork recovery - no pc install

Evening lads,

I found the old thread concerning putting clockwork on via a command window here :

Is this all still relevant? Want to install the latest froyo rom via clockwork but via the phone not pc.

Any pointers appreciated

Just as a bit more info- this would be going on a phone thats already been flashed with an R4 rom so i pressume I don't need to flash the mcri bootloader image?

Just the recovery one?

To answer my own question I just used the terminal program to flash clockwork recovery to recovery and then used clockwork to load the update.zip of froyo G2 onto the phone.
