I see the blue progress bar.. and then the message Checking .. [PB99IMG.zip].. but then, the cel goes back to HBOOT menu (fastboot, recovery, etc..).. it doesn't apply or ask me to apply the firmware.. also tried to use update.zip.. didn't worked.. then tried to run a RUU, but it can't find my cel phone because it's in recovery mode.. I'm trying EVERYTHING and nothing seems to make it work again.. please guys HELP ME ps: one more thing that I forgot to mention is that I have a nandroid backup, but it's on my office PC.. so that's my last hope.. I can only try it monday.. and hope it will do the trick
Guest bpivk Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Just to make sure. Did you go to clockworkmod (recovery) to install the new rom from there? Or what did you do exactly?
Guest renatojf Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Just to make sure. Did you go to clockworkmod (recovery) to install the new rom from there? Or what did you do exactly? I tried installing a rom from recovery mode, I tried running a RUU, I tried several update.zip and PB99IMG.zip files.. nothing works.. I keep getting sdcard errors, HBOOT wont read some PB99IMG files.. all kinda crap B)
Guest bpivk Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) You still didn't tell us anything. Did you see this screen? http://kugou.me/koush/re1.4.jpg Describe all the steps. Because you usually do a full wipe from the screen I've posted and then install a new from from zip file. You don't have to name it just select it. I usually leave it as it is. Edit: You can do everything from this screen. Edited November 20, 2010 by bpivk
Guest bcmobile Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Try this: 1) Power off the phone 2) Hold the volume down button while powering it on 3) Select 'recovery' from the hboot menu Note: at this point, you should get the red triangle and exclaimation mark if you have clockworkmod 4) Hold Volume up and tap the power button 5) Choose flash update.zip from SDCard Note: at this point you should be at the clockwork recovery screen as (see screensgot posted bybpivk above). If not, you need to download clockworks update.zip and put it in the root of the SD card 6) Choose "Wipe data / Factory Reset", OK 7) Choose install zip from SDCard, browse to the ZIP file for your new ROM and flash away.
