HELP: Messages aren't sending. . .

Running Default December Update.

40 Minutes ago I could send messages. No problem. Now I can't. Not altered anything or changed anything. Was in the EXACT same messaging screen. Only now it comes up with "Message Not Sent"

Don't know why such a thing has happened but I cannot text. Any ideas?
