UART_CONSOLE_MODE on dell streak

anyone know what this is for and how to use?

i pressed some random sequence of vol-up and vol-down key in bootloader mode on streak

black screen with white prompt UART_CONSOLE_MODE comes up.

that could be very useful, especially for unlocking or unbricking phones. uart is a terminal similar to jtag that can rewrite memory and program directly to the phone, and possibly rewrite the imei and things like that too. were you able to get a driver for it in windows?
