Stuck on Dell logo - help!

I was trying to update my Streak yesterday to the official 2.2 using the method posted by Steve here:

I 'wrote' the 3 files successfully but after rebooting the phone will not boot past the Dell logo...I have tried it a number of times now and I have no idea what else to try.

I have a EU unlocked Streak purchased directly from Dell

Try factory reseting and see if that helps. Also, it will take a while to boot the first time after u install (3-10 mins usually)

Yeah I've tried factory resetting but still no luck...

As I can still boot into fastmode I'm hoping there's still a chance I can recover it but I need some guidance or a little push in the right direction...
