HTC Desire problems?

Hi guys.

Been recommended to this forum in the hope somebody can help regarding some faults I've discovered with the HTC Desire that I haven't been able to rectify, either by reading the using manual or by asking others.

For those that are able to help, I'm not a phone or techno boffin so will not understand any jargon used in replies!

1. It doesn't let you zoom in while taking a video? Is this right? I can't find a way round it, but surely it's a basic error if it won't let you do this?

2. Taking photo's of outdoor still life or indoor well-lit areas is amazing, but if I'm taking photo's of people they always come out blurry unless they are completetly motionless when having the pic taken.

3. Photo's in the pub at night or darker locations - you can't see the subject in the viewfinder so have no idea if they fit in the picture properly until after the flash has gone off and the pic has taken?!!

4. When I download video clips on to my computer they come out with no sound?! How do I rectify this? They play with sound on my phone but just don't bring it through once they've been downloaded?

5. Video clips of live music playing indoors are rubbish! The sound doesnt come out well and it doesn't focus properly.

6. The shutter sound has been ticked to make a noise when I take a pic, but it doesn't make a noise? I've tried unticking the box then ticking again but doesn't make any difference?

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

4. quick answer is you need a codec for Windows Media Player to get sound - can't remember which off the top of my head but I needed to get it too

EDIT: pretty sure this is what you want

Thanks for the reply. Sorry to sound dumb, but what is a 'codec'?? Do you mean I need to install Windows Media Player on to my laptop or onto my phone??

Cheers.

I am using HTC desire from last 4 months. I have upgraded it to 2.2 and after that i gave me few restart issues. Than i have to take out battery and insert again in order to resolve it. But now for a week its working fine.

download the free VLC player on your laptop (for windows, linux or macos x), it comes with nearly all available video and audio codecs included and plays them.
