Guest Frankish Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I much prefer old style a2sd (cyanogen) however none of the roms on here seem to have it included. I doubt the San Fran could hold my 300+mb of apps? I don't really want to use Froyo a2sd...it sucks.
Guest asim18 Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) I'm using Paul's R4 with built in A2SD.. Works perfectly. Edited November 21, 2010 by asim18
Guest Frankish Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Is that a prebake though or one you made using the kitchen?
Guest asim18 Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I baked mine in the kitchen. BladeVillain 1.0.1 also has built in A2SD.
Guest Sebastian404 Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I did not include it in any of my ROMS as quite frankly I don't want to support something I did not produce... also, its not that hard to install it...
Guest ezablade Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Personally think paying for a subscription in order to get a2sd isn't too much to ask, the help that I have received from both Paul and other users has been invaluable. Also, being able to cook a ROM with just the right components is the icing on the cake.
Guest Frankish Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Hmm rather than pay i have tried to learn how to modify the boot.img myself. I like using winrar to edit roms i don't need no online kitchen! B) Will find out if my boot.img works when my San Fran arrives tuesday...
Guest Hedja Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) I just copied the A2SD zip from another thread and pasted its contents inside the MCRr4 ROM zip, then type a few lines on the terminal, works a charm. It's the same as flashing it over using Clockwork but for some reason doing that gets you stuck at the bootscreen when you reboot. Edited November 22, 2010 by Hedja
Guest flatnote31 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I did not include it in any of my ROMS as quite frankly I don't want to support something I did not produce... also, its not that hard to install it... had no luck with A2SD on your r6 Seb B) did it by the book , yet /sd-ext fails to mount ... it only did once and then failed to "reinstall" apps to SD ! how I know it works is that I installed a baked r4 with A2SD built-in and it worked nicely... it's not only your ROMs Seb, but even Paul's r4 doesn't like A2SD on it if you try to install it on your own! Not sure if it's a script to add to force-mount sd-ext on boot?!!
Guest kendon Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 /sd-ext fails to mount ... as long as you aware of the fact that this gives ZERO grounds to investigate on...
