the alarm on my SF seems to make random decisions about whether it wants to work or not, is there another solution to this or am I stuck with praying before I go to bed each night?

thanks.

Does the alarm go off but not sound? I've had this problem even on my Pulse. Usually the alarm volume is to blame which you cant actually set without a 3rd party app.

absolutlely nothing happens, but only sometimes, about 80% of the time it works, 20% of the time its as though I'd never set it, though the alarm icon is still on there. each time its failed I've checked and its been set up correctly

Are you running any type of task killer?

It's the same with my blade, it failed to ring 2 out of 8 days. No task killer. 2.1 Modaco r4.

If you are using advanced task killer, as I am, you need to add clock to the ignore list, mine was exactly the same until i did this, now works perfectly...

ooh this is a bit worrying! I've used my alarm 3 times successfully, might have to set a back up until I'm happy it is going to work reliably.

I use Better Alarm Pro, it's a paid app from the market, its very similar to the stock clock app but far better.
