Guest Asselberghs Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hi Guys:) I am trying to dublicate what I did on my HTC Desire on a friends HTC Desire, using App2SD+. AFAIK I did the same things but something went wrong, I am unable to read the card in linux nor windows and android turns up and says read only mode. Quick system info dosen´t give any regular space indications just something along the line that it´s not there. We can´t safe remove for windows since it shows up but is not recognized correctly. He wants to try and see if my phone will recognize it. (we are not 100% sure his is baked with A2SD+/A2SD, not anymore at least) but I know mine is) Can I just do that? I´ve got apps installed and placed on my SD card I don´t want to cause my android phone confusion by swapping the cards. can it handle this? or will it create errors since apps are partly on internal phone space and partly on SD card. I presume this is something I can´t just do so I want to check it with you guys before I just hop into it and makes errors on my own phone that might be hard to fix. I don´t feel like I rushed the project on my friends phone I read up on what you guys told me before and in the kitchen regarding app2SD and then tried to dublicate what I did before, but something must have gone wrong and I have done something differently I just don´t know what. Can I swap the cards safely? or should I avoid it? Kind Regards Asselberghs
Guest bcmobile Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 I vote for "avoid it" ;) A2SD should attempt to move any existing apps to the EXT3 partition on boot. Could get messy

Could get messy yes, if you can't read the card partitions with linux/windows and a card reader DO NOT put it an a working phone! try an other card reader if you think the card is good but do not put it in phone!
