Android 2.1 available through LG Update Tool

Sorry if everyones' already seen this...

But today, via the Official LG Updater Tool, my GT540 updated itself to

Firmware

2.1-update1

Kernal Version

2.6.29

Software Version

GT540-V20b-OCY-15-2010

The Update Tool doesn't make it obvious enough back up all your user data (contacts etc).

And of course there's finding all your own daft settings again..

(like Don't Turn Off Screen while Charging...Can't find this one? anyone?) B)

For Info: My phone is an officially (ie bought brand new as..) unlocked but on Orange from Mobiles.co.uk (carphonewarehouse subsidiary)
