Guest stringy2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hi guys n gals 1st post, brilliant forum excellent work by all getting 2.2 working on the streak. I have an O2 streak that was on the official 2.1 8105 build, it was on the leaked build however i upgraded to the 8105 build and it has been working fine, but i like everyone else got sick of waiting for dell to release 2.2. So i have fastboot working fine and can use clockwork recovery fine however i have tried flashing every version of 2.2 on the forums and everything goes fine but i never get the thing to boot again, its always stuck on the dell logo. Sometimes its the normal dell logo and sometimes its the colorful animated dell logo, but thats as far as i get. What am i doing wrong?
Guest JimiB Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Have you flashed the base band? Jimi
Guest stringy2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Yes followed instructions on this page to flash baseband and ROM from same page http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...1-2-0-released/

I had same build O2, 8105 official 2.1 - used the instructions Stephen provided in the post 'Official 2.2 Froyo Untouched' - process worked fine (dell's offical 2.2 for 00). However, have since rolled back to 2.1 O2 offical due to camcorder FC and 'too many server page redirects' website issues with stock browser. Waiting now for offical O2 version of 2.2....hopefully they will read all about the issues with Dell's initial release... Edited November 22, 2010 by All3gro97
Guest stringy2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Well I have eventually managed to get 2.2 up and running by installing the official 2.2 untouched version by following stephen hydes guide. So I am typing this from a streak running froyo, yeah. Have only managed to get on the website by turning off wifi though, because of the "too many browser redirects error". But other than that 2.2 seems way better than 2.1, even better once someone finds a fix for the browser thing. Good job guys.

On first flash I had to wait about 15 mins for it to boot.. seemingly stuck on Dell logo. I was about to pull the battery when it finished booting.
Guest becham2382 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 the same problem I have had with this build 2.1, streak stuck on boot logo with stephen hyde upgrades.. wait 12-13 min but nothing.. the 2.2 upgrade work only via adb for me, using the untouched 2.2 version
