Just been playing with mine, seems good so far, mostly it's pretty responsive though the on screen keyboard seems a little laggy when typing. Also keep getting an error when trying to add widgets to the home screen, not sure if this is down to some software customisation from Advent?

Not sure, not had an Android device before so can't say if it's stock. Viewing angles also aren't brilliant, but at this price point I didn't expect them to be. Also unable to find any kind of app store on it, might just be being dumb though B)

Do a video please. Viewing angles. Youtube HD video playback. Responsiveness. Get LauncherPro loaded on ASAP.

Either the Vega has been a cunning WMD and exploded in each users hands or people are far too busy (selfish B) ) to post quick feedback on it.

Please tell us how it is with flash video etc etc.

Okay, I'll do my best. For comparison I have used an ipad but not much, and my phone is an HTC Hero with Froyo.

Feels very responsive in general.

Viewing Angles are not great, but when looking straight on the screen appears bright with good colours.

Flash video works.

I'll test some videos now.

One thing is there is no marketplace, so I don't know how to install any new apps.

Yeah, Video playback would be interesting.

My folio, the tegra2 power monster that it was, struggled badly with my HD(720 and 1080p) MKV's - but my little single core (+powerVR graphics) tab plays them smooth as silk.

Another example of the Toshiba 'optimisations' I believe.

Hope the Vega is better, it's got to be surely

Overall the device feels alright, seems well put together. Has anyone tried USB on it yet? I plugged in a fat32 formatted USB pen but it didn't seem to be able to view any files on it?

I get the widget error too Nos. I think the viewing angles are pretty decent, could be better but I'm not complaining B)

I think it feels pretty solid, not perhaps up to the ipads feel, but decent enough.

Just tried out iPlayer, and it works well. I'll try 4od too if you like.

When you say market place do you mean AppsLib?

The Advent has been allowed to use the archos site I believe - is it not on it?

no idea what that fixes but just in case it fixes any widget errors or something

That's only a boot image update, so I doubt that will fix widget issues.

Did you see the folio screen? This is one of the reasons lots took it back.

Do we have any ex(current?) folio users that are getting Vega's today who could judge?
