Restoring with Titanium

I'm on Steve's 1.1.1 and thinking about updating to 1.4.1 --> 1.4.2

I'd like to avoid having to set everything up again though so I'm hoping to use titanium backup to restore all apps and their settings as well as some select system settings.

In the past when I've used titanium to restore from 1.6 to 2.1 and again from 2.1 to 2.2, I get loads of force closes.

On the other hand doing a restore on the same Android version has always worked.

But with the litany of changes from Steve's 1.1.1 to 1.4.X I'm not so sure if it'll work.

How are you guys setting up after updating? Are you only restoring the apps and setting things up again? or has anyone been bold enough to restore their settings with Titanium backup?

I updated from 1.1. ro 1.4.1 with Titanium restore app+data. Result = a lot of FC. Just restore the app

Ah well... think I'll hold of for a while... at least until the updates the updates slow down.
