ok folks, fix for market is simpleish at moment, grab the Vending.apk from 1.2.0 and copy it to /system/app overwriting the current file then reboot.

Try restarting the launcher... I'm not having this problem so I'm not %100

still no go here, I see the icon and opens fine , but when I go try install something it force closes, cleared market data and all that good stiff

I have the issue, after replacing the vending.apk in root explorer, and reboot, Market icon disappears

I reboot and install the vending.apk once, clear the data, the Market comes back, but the Force Close issue also comes back

On my Streak, new 1.4.5 solves most of the "cannot install apps or apk", " apps always FC" experienced in 1.4.1

Hope the Market FC will settle soon..

i pushed the apk in adb if thats any help - best bet is :

1. delete vending.apk

2. reboot

3. check market is not visible

4. copy new file to /system/app

5. reboot

6. test

still no go, I used root explore for the transfers, so pushing with adb the only way it will work?

I have just updated to this latest version and my phone will not ring. I updated from official 2.2 and it actually stopped ringing while I was on official release. I did not hard reset it as of yet. Also now if I try to change the ring tone it just crashes and goes back to the previews screen in the settings. Any suggestions? On another note it seems to have weaker cell signal as compared to the stock. Thanks

Just jumped from 1.4.1 to 1.4.5.

Flashed the update using CW, didn't clear anything or factory reset.

Installed without any hitches and booted within a minute.

Works perfectly, no problems with the market at all.

I have similar experience about the installation aborted, I believe it is because the file is not downloaded completely, try again to download the file and update again. Hope it helps.

Installed. Working Nice .

The only issue was the market force close. Canot open it at all.

Hi,

Does any one here use the A/V dock as a charging station at night? I do. My alarm and ring does not work when i am docked to A/V dock. I have observed this since 1.4.

Before 1.4, when I connected to the AV dock, I used to get a notification asking me whether i wanted to redirect my device speaker to the AV speaker. Now (1.4.5) I see no such message.

Is there anyway to turn on the ringer and alarm (or otherwise force the device to use its speaker) when connected to AV dock?

yeah it does, some people are having issues with it though. For instance when i try to use it i get no connection to the internet until windows does some s*** to "resolve the issue" i didnt pay enough attention to what it did though. My issue though is most likely on the PC side and not the streakside

ok in the spirit of sucking it & seeing...

youtube - no green line & no stuck rotation

media sound sounds great audibly more audable !!

"this file is audio only" REMAINS (tested on 720p vid i shot yesterday) oh well...

wifi tethering = looks fine, haven't tested but can see phone in wifi networks on pc

usb - tethering NOT WORKING, but will try a reboot

market works fine....

new car app thingamy seems sweet... look forward to testing it.. does it pevent screen lock?

no sound preview, but this is a known issue & hardly a biggie (can still select desired sound) long press on music file still allows selection as ring tone..

radio seems to have disapeared???? added it back from apk in v1.1.1, seems to work ok (prob last time i use it)

ok rebooting now to test usb tethering...

nope doesn't seem to work... although have yet to reboot pc

any fix for this? is it a baseband issue?

adzman808 at the risk of sounding like an idiot, what is the name of the apk that you brought in from 1.1.1 to restore the radio. I have looked but can't find it.
