SIM Unlock

Hi,

I'd like to SIM unlock my Liquid E from Rogers. I found some guy on ebay who does it but don't know if it's for real.

Also I read that some after upgrading using the rogers 2.2 version, people got sim locked to rogers. Would this happen to me if I unlocked my rogers Liquid E and then upgraded to 2.2? On a related note, is it safe to upgrade to Rogers 2.2 without loosing the ability to flash it after? I know many people had problems with the Rogers Dream after upgrading it to fix 911.

I have read here that they can do it as well search for Mobileincanada as they can do it too

And I do believe when you move to 2.2 the lock is back on

I had my Rogers Liquid E unlocked by Mobileincanada when it was still running stock 2.1. Then I used the leaks for 6 weeks and now just flashed the Rogers official ROM. I just tried my overseas SIM card and my Liquid E is still unlocked.

Alright sounds good. So where does the lock sit? It's not in ROMs or BINs right? Is there a secret area of memory on the phone dedicated to this that our modifications never touch?

Also if it ever does get locked again I should be able to use the same unlock code right? or do they change?

one more question. once i get the unlock code how do I enter it? Do I need a foreign sim card or there a special number i dial to get to the option?
