Guest Rosz Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 It seems that Google latitude is trying to connect frequently and runs one service in background. Is there any way to remove Google latitude. I've read that is is a part of Google maps and etc? I guess it could be possible with the rm command from the shell. Thanks

Thanks I just tried to uninstall Latitude and it uninstalled the updated Maps downloaded from the market. . . Use Autostarts to prevent it starting of its own accord?

The solution could be to use Brut - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630887

Guest meinnit Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 I had this problem. Latitude would use CPU even though I had disabled it. Turns out that if you have ever enabled Latitude on the phone before, it will do stuff in the background regardless of whether it's enabled or not. Solution was to uninstall and re-install Maps and never to enable Latitude again! Fixed my issue B)
