Calendar Overlay Bar Problem

I've seen this discussed in other threads, but I believe that it should have it's own thread,as I'm positive that collectively we can resolve this problem. Feel the forum force!

Trying to understand where this yellow overlay bar comes from:

As you can see, it obscures pretty much the first week of any calendar month! Bit of a pain!

Having grabbed and installed just the Froyo 2.2.1 calendar.apk from the latest Cyanogen, from http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version, I can see this:

Which to me looks suspiciously like the circle battery png image file for 44% battery:

For my circle battery indicator, I used the online kitchen tool from http://circle.glx.nl/ to replace the battery indicator in my framework-res.apk.

So question is, being that it looks like this issue looks to be caused by a combination of google calendar and framework-res.apk, and we have some framework guru's around (Rem1x / fibblesan / ogiogi - to name just a few) does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I'm guessing that we need to tweak either the calendar apk or the framework to stop the bar / image from showing up.

Easy? I'm sure it is to those that understand frameworks! B)

Hey Chris,

I wonder what would happend if we load the Calendar App from the stock ROM? I might try this later when I get home.

I'm using FLB Froyo v3. I'll let you know how it goes.

Just to discount anything that the online kitchen tool ( http://circle.glx.nl/ ) may have done to my framework, I've pushed back the original framework from the gforums ROM and can confirm that the bar still appears.

It's present in the Monthly, Weekly and Daily views. It's not there in the Agenda view.

Actually just seen it on my Stackbladroid ROM - hadn't opened the calendar before.

Looks like it is overlayed on the month / week / day views but not the Agenda.

Same problem for me..on stacks rom..sorry can't help tho..don't know anything technical.

I loaded Flibblesan's r3a rom and had the bar, then loaded the lite version with the ZTE dialler... no bar
