Guest degriz Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Been fiddling more with this. Drums machines, synths, audio recording cpability, built in community for sharing your tunes and remixing other peoples. This has to be about the best app Ive seen. Seems to have audio recording probs on the Streak, going to try and hassle the Devs for a fix. Closest your going to get to Reason under Android IMO.
Guest AJCrowley Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 has anyone got this working on the streak on 1.6, or does it need to be 2.2, refuses to play on my 1.6 at all.....
Guest Sebastián Marconi Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 has anyone got this working on the streak on 1.6, or does it need to be 2.2, refuses to play on my 1.6 at all..... Hey, I'm the developer of Uloops. I wish can help you but I don't have access to a Dell Streak. Can you tell me what's the error message? Thanks!
Guest degriz Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Hello Sebastian, will charge my streak and check it out. Can probably post logs if thats any help? Respect to your App! Any chance of it ever being realtime for faster devices? ASIO for Android? :P

Guest degriz Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 on further investigation, AMA recording works perfectly. Wav codec or whatever android needs missing?
Guest degriz Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 has anyone got this working on the streak on 1.6, or does it need to be 2.2, refuses to play on my 1.6 at all..... Best reason to update mate. Have been making music since MED/OctoMED. Love this App.
Guest Sebastián Marconi Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Error File too small to parse. Contents: RIFF$ WAVEfmt [] [] "V WAV output error by the look of it? First thanks for reporting the bug in the system. Seems like a codec problem. Try this:Install and open the app called aLogcatOpen Uloops, try to record When the error show ups, swith to aLogcat, press Menu and select the send option. Send the log to [email protected] Also try to record using differents formats, first give a try to AMR (first step of the recording dialog), then try Wav at different Mhz (8, 11, 22, 44) Last thing to check, install a file exporer like Astro or mount your sdcard, and browse the following folder: /sdcard/uloops/.cache (it's a hidden folder, with a dot in front of 'cache'). Check if there's a file called 'record.wav'. If so, please send us also that file That's all. Thank you very much! :P
Guest degriz Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 That should all be with you now.
Guest degriz Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 interestingly, if you 1st do an AMA recording the metronome works when you try to overlay
Guest Sebastián Marconi Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 interestingly, if you 1st do an AMA recording the metronome works when you try to overlay Great. The wav file is corrupted. This seems the root of the problem W/AudioFlinger( 89): W/AudioFlinger( 89): RecordThread: buffer overflow Give me some hours, I'll try to found a solution. Can I send you later a new version with some modifications to test with? Also, can you try to record using Rehearsal Assistant? They have a 'uncompressed' setting that records wav files

Guest Sebastián Marconi Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 FWIW, I'm running US 1.6 and haven't run into any issues so far, runs like a champ. Don't really know what i'm doing but cool app none the less :P Could you try to install and run alogcat then switch to uloops and save a recording, then switch back to alogcat press menu and send us the log to [email protected]? That way I could see the differences between a working and not working streak. Thanks guys!
Guest degriz Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Sebastian, what are the chances of some kind of midi pattern export coming to uloops? Like for the drum pattern editors and such. Bi nice to be able to work on a pattern on the move then export to reason or whatever.

Bi nice to be able to work on a pattern on the move then export to reason or whatever. this is awesome, remind me of FL studio. is there a way to "preview" your beats as you make them?
Guest Sebastián Marconi Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Sorry for the test version promise, I didn't found enough time to work in this bug. I hope tomorrow make a build for streak users, to test with. Sebastian, what are the chances of some kind of midi pattern export coming to uloops? Like for the drum pattern editors and such. Bi nice to be able to work on a pattern on the move then export to reason or whatever. That would be wonderful, working on export formats it's a pending feature. To be frankly we need first to finish some important features in december-january. Could be on the february-march version this is awesome, remind me of FL studio. is there a way to "preview" your beats as you make them? Do you mean real-time processing?
Guest offthahorse Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Do you mean real-time processing? Im not sure what its called, probably IS real time processing. Example on FL Studio I had the little boxes i could tick or un-tick, for example a kick beat. then i could add some hi-hat and hit play to see how it sounded, i could then add a few more hi-hat and hit play again, without having to export
