Guest jonep Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Couldn't find this posted anywhere. But if you visit filmon.com on your blade you can watch UK HDTV and films for free though the browser. No need to register. Only works using Wifi but the video is smooth.
Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Needs Flash. How have you got this working on the Blade?
Guest jonep Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) Needs Flash. How have you got this working on the Blade? No it doesn't. But you need to use the Android browser. Working great here B) It proprietary technology. http://androidnewsreleases.blogspot.com/20...hes-filmon.html FilmOn Mobile does not require an application download. It works seamlessly with the built-in devices' media players using FilmOn's proprietary encrypted service to broadcast live television in HD over a basic 3G connection. Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I don't believe OP has this working.
Guest Freekers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Working great here in The Netherlands ! Thanks for the tip ! Usually those services are country restricted, but this one works fine. Audio Sync is a bit off though. Using xScope 6.20 on BladeVillain 1.1.0.
Guest Phil001 Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 plays on my san francisco over T Mobile network. sound seems to be very much out of sync tho, maybe better on wifi
Guest ezablade Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 works in opera mini, sound is way ahead of the picture though, news is watchable, that's about it.
Guest Freekers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Sound is indeed a bit of sync, but not that much ! At max 2 seconds here over 3G (plays well !)
Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I don't believe OP has this working. Something up at your end then, because it works here. It's just a bit poor though. The usual issue of audio sync, which makes things unwatchable when it's a tiny bit out, and this (for me) gets a lot out very quickly (on wifi). I've used TVCatchup in the past and that has similar sync issues on HQ, but also offers a LQ option which is much better on the sync side but very poor on the image quality side. B)
Guest jonep Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I don't believe OP has this working. Really !
Guest buneech Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Works great here in Slovenia on my Blade. Thanks for this.
Guest Mike_P Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Works here too, but sound well out of sync over wifi.
Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I'm on fibble's 2.2 I am using Stock Browser I go to filmon.com and click any channel It says I need Flash Player (which is not supported on our phones yet) So, explain to me how people are getting this working. Using SkyFire perhaps? Andy
Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 So, explain to me how people are getting this working. Running 2.1 (Modaco R4) and the normal Browser.
Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 www.filmon.com? Over 3G or WiFi? UK based? This is perplexing...
Guest Arr Too Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Running 2.1 (Modaco R4), the normal Browser, over WiFi, in the UK, being hailed on.
Guest buneech Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) With flash/flash lite? No flash, no flash lite. Over WiFi, Modaco r4 (android 2.1), android browser, watched Channel 4 and BBC 2 from Slovenia. Have you by any chance enabled Desktop View? Edited November 25, 2010 by buneech
Guest goods Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) I don't believe OP has this working. Works great, you are missing out big time :P Edited November 25, 2010 by goods
Guest bugeyes Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 www.filmon.com? Over 3G or WiFi? UK based? This is perplexing... same situation here.... also same rom all i can get otherwise is tv listings by clicking the tv button on each channel
Guest AndyHibberd Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Buneech is watching it in Slovenia. I'm assuming the other successful viewers are also non-UK. There is no "Desktop/Mobile" setting on 2.2 Stock.
Guest Freekers Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Is FirmOn free btw ? Couldn't find it on their website, I only see paid subscription plans there... don't want to end up with a unexpected high phone bill at the end of the month
