Ok, here's my top 9 favourite apps:

1. Launcher Pro

2. Twidroyd Pro

3. Dropbox

4. Skype

5. TuneIn radio

6. Wordlog

7. OfficeSuite Pro

8. Google Translate (great with voice recognition)

9. Built-in web browser (because it works)

I was interested in your post because i want to use the vega to show powerpoint slide shows via the hdmi to a projector. I downloaded the officesuite pro trialthat you like but im not sure it can show the slides full screen and does not appear to change slides by flicking - i think documents to go does do this - have yiu tried that and am i right about officesuite pro?

Thanks

Loving Tweetcaster, JJComics, and ofcourse Angry Birds :P

Still looking for a decent shoutcast/streaming audio player tho - winamp wouldnt do anything for me, Antplayer works but only in little screen, wont go full screen and is a bit flaky.

Day of of being a Vega owner, here's the list so far:

The Good Apps:

AndFTP (FTP and SFTP manager)

Tweet Deck

Launcher Pro (8 cols by 6 rows)

Ebuddy (Msn, Gtalk, AIM, yahoo and facebook chat)

Andro-zip (Unzips 7zip which is what I use)

Angry Birds

Chrome to phone (Send a tab from your browser to your vega - Ha-maze-ing)

Kindle (ebook app)

Fruit Ninja (Game)

KWS (Web Server - html only, no server-sided code [good for showing to clients])

Sky+ (TV guide and insta-record button)

Smart Keyboard (Decent keyboard)

Wordfeud (Scrabble[y] game)

Dropbox

Winamp + Doubletwist (Not decided what audio player to use yet)

Root Explorer (Though not needed on the tablet [comes pre-rooted])

4(2) Player Reactor (Good brain game)

The Bad Apps:

Documents to go (An old apk I had knocking about - failed to open)

Speed X (Uncontrollable thanks to the crap G sensor)

Nova (An old apk I had knocking about - FPS started windowed, wouldn't play)

HTC IME Mod (Crash attack!)

Hyper Jump (Uncontrollable thanks to the crap G sensor)

The Ugly Apps:

Google reader (Starts full screen, when you click onto an article it appears phone sized in the middle of your screen)

Most notepad apps (All windowed)

Touchpal (Weird, just weird)

SlideIT Keyboard (Works, but damn is it ugly)

Pure Calendar Widget (UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGLEEEEEEEEEE)

Ultra Keyboard Pro (Windowed and wrong)

- There's my list :P

Chrome to Phone is bloody amazing. Instant link transfer, Desktop to Vega. Very, very smart. I can transfer everything I've been reading on the desktop to the tablet before retiring to the couch to read :P

OMG... Chrome just keeps getting better... Assuming I get a Vega allocated from batch 4, that's the first app that will get installed...

EDIT: After I install xbmc remote for Android :D

Has anyone tried the update spotify app that was released today?

It seems to work ok, but the bottom nav is half off the screen (I suspect by the same amount as the top bar is thick compared to he standard Android top bar). It's entirely usable though

It does work, but I can't seem to get it to behave consistently. It keeps losing its connection, going green, then blue as it loses it's connection. It's rather peculiar - there's nothing wrong with the networking that I can see. Logging off Spotify and back on again seems to help - briefly, sometimes. It's not a fix. Anyone else have similar problems?

I've listened to many hours of music and no problems like that. Ironically my wifi can be a bit wonky :-)

Just tried Blue Skies Live Wallpaper, and while it does look good, I've switched back to Beautiful Live Weather, as it's a bit "cleverer".

My copy isn't reporting the weather correctly. I have the full beautiful widgets but it says sunny when we have 12 inch of snow!

Can you run Fring on a pc? I was hoping to take the Vega on holiday and 'skype' (or whatever) back home to daughters pc's - with video.

Nope ;) not at the moment anyway. Fring is available on these platforms only :- Symbian, iPhone/ipod touch, Android and Windows Mobile.

Thanks for that so I'll have to wait for Skype on Vega or Fring on pc! I guess I can always take photos with the Vega webcam and email them home.
