Guest Frankish Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I really would like to use my ext partition to store my apps instead of googles own apps to sd method. I have tried a few different guides on modifying the boot.img and including the a2sd files. Each time i just get stuck at the green android. So no worky! I tried the instructions from Dark Tremors a2sd thread over on xda...no go. Just want some help really i'm obviously doing something wrong.

We need the base address for the 2.2 kernel and possibly cmdline codes. I also tried the base address of 2.1 with empty cmdline, no joy.

What you need is Move2SD Enabler http://www.appbrain.com/app/move2sd-enable...installlocation Lets you move anything to SD (don't do widgets) - Plus its FREE!
Guest Frankish Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 No i don't need that lol. Already done that but like you say widgets are a no go and the phone also starts much slower. Old a2sd is better. Can we not get the 2.2 base address and cmdline stuff using a hex editor or something? I guess my problem was using a 2.1 base address and blank cmdline.
