After updating to 2.2 official and having no bugs (think i'm the only one) there is only 1 thing I don't like. That being the new keyboard so my question is this:

Where can I get a keyboard with arrow buttons and number pad? I've searched the market but can't find any with both.

Any help will be hugely appreciated.

Thanks.

Vlingo is my first choice. I spend hours talking to it.

My other half can whack out an email in seconds with swype, i can't get on with it, fat finger syndrome lol.

I'm sure i saw a thread here that a forum member was developing a donut 1.6 style kb, do a quick search.

There's a post on XDA somewhere where the number pad in the middle of the keyboard. I used it for a couple of text messages or so but didn't like it. You can search for that one there. As far as the 1.6 style keyboard, I'd like to know myself.

Ultra keyboard does what you want.

Swype does not have cursor keys, or anyway to position your cursor.

I have tried loads of keyboards including the latest Swype beta, Ultra Keyboard, Better Keyboard etc. but always revert to Smart Keyboard Pro. It is the fastest and most stable, has extra screen for cursor arrows, has adjustable keyboard height to take up more of the streaks huge screen and has a feature to have the keyboard displayed below the application screen rather than taking over the whole screen. The responsiveness and overall stability of the keyboard make it my personal favourite. It also takes up very little space when installed and has the dictionaries as separate installs to save even more space.

Yeah it does. Swype from the swype key to the SYM button. Gives you a whole load of cursor options...

that's one of the best features about swype, oh and the press sym hold sym huge numeric keyboard, I can't believe people don't experiment more. :P

Having said that I still keep reverting to ultra keyboard.

I like the xda-modified HTC keyboard. It has, among other nice features, the ability to set the volume buttons as left/right arrows, gestures for deleting the last typed word, and a real bad-assed dictionary that let's me type like I am drunk and still come out with something readable.

The Swype pre-installed in the Streak 2.2. ROM does not work as well for me as the Swype BETA I used previously. Which is the later version?

I wasn't thinking on T9 because it doesn't even exist in my language-.

My friend wants to buy an android phone with phisical number keyboard, but that does not exist (at least in my country), so Now i'm searching if that kinfd of keybord exist in android. it was possible in my old HTC HD and HD2.

He drives a truck so it's hard for him to search for tiny letters...
