Guest English Haze Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Has anyone else noticed that the camera produces a mirror image?! Not very useful when scanning bar codes.
Guest English Haze Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 No one? Is it just mine then?
Guest removed-14 Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 No one? Is it just mine then? I noticed but I'm not bothered. I'm sure there will be an app on tye market than can flip it back.
Guest Paul Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Yep, it's mirrored on my 1.04 R2 with PP! P
Guest Bonuman Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Should be an easy hack, I reckon.
Guest Paul Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Hmmm, you have a thought on how to do it then I assume? P
Guest Bonuman Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 I'm not a dev, but I do know that a lot of embedded camera systems use a mostly standard API/NDK/framework/control system or how it's called. Usually this system allows one to manipulate the image, 'flip' and 'mirror', which change the pixel coordinates. For example: In a 1280x720 video, the pixel sitting at 1x1 moves to 1280x1 and backwards.
Guest Paul Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 I've had a look through the camera app and there's nothing obvious, which suggests it's in the camera library... P
Guest obb Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 To be fair I cant see the camera being used for anything other than taking the odd video and video chat (when skype eventually get it working) ....So does it really matter that much ... Taking pictures or scanning a bar code is kind of counter intuative as you have to be looking at the screen in the first place.
