Froyo ROM with old a2sd

I have included the old a2sd to the Froyo ROMs of FLB r3a and stackrish 0.1. Use clockwork recovery to flash. The a2sd filesystem (not sure if ext3 is supported) is mounted on /system/sd. I am a noob new to the game, so proceed with care and at your own risk. Wipe is recommended. Also i have only tried stackrish one, which worked fine for me so far.

Update 1: Busybox run-parts now added to FLB roms, download links also changed.

Update 2: I have enabled the run-parts in the init.rc, hopefully it works. new links below.

Update 3: Tried myself on the flb ones without success, stuck on the green man. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Links removed.

Many thanks to FLB and stackrish for creating the excellent ROMs. Also to Jason Patrick for his suggestions.

Hi - did you get the FLB r3a a2sd working, on mine it cannot find the run-parts in /system/xbin (no executable/link and not present in FLB's busybox, although it is present in busybox.a2sd so can be linked here). Also, I then found that it appears that the FLB rom isn't calling /system/bin/sysinit from the init.rc script - this will need a mod of the boot initrd to fix. Will post a request for a sysinit server on Fibblesan's thread as well.

No I did not add the run-part for busybox, will update it tomorrow.

Files updated with run-parts, see OP.

Unfortunately, this is a partial fix - allows one to manually start a2sd but not automatically on boot for the FLB rom.

It appears sysinit is not run from the FLB rom boot (sysinit not invoked in the init.rc). I'm not familiar enough with the mkbootimg process to fix this myself, so I've left a request on the FLB rom thread to add sysinit to the boot process (let's see what the outcome is).

Stackrish's rom (I've not tried it but superkryo has reported he has) is the current option if you want A2SD+.

Hi, I've enabled run-parts in init.rc, hopefully done it right. ROM info in the pic, let me know if they are OK.

Hi, installed the stackrish rom last night which went incredibly smoothly. Connected to market, wifi OK and GPS worked too. Also so much faster than R4.

The only issue I have noticed is that there is no Live wallpaper option. Anyone know how to enable it? Is there a way to add App2SD manually to the flb G2 roms instead as that includes all apps?

Thanks

Im having a bit of a problem with the stackrish rom posted above...The phone doesnt seem to recognise the ext2 partition on the sd card...

I updated to this rom from modaco r4 w/app2sd enabled but the rom got stuck at the zte boot screen so I did a factory reset and the rom booted...I then installed quick system info but it said no information available under a2sd...any ideas?

I just restored the phone to a nandroid backup I made before updating and a2sd seems to be working fine...

Is there a way to update from modaco r4 rom to the above rom whilst keeping all the apps etc, including the ones on the ext2 partition, without boot problems?

It's a tough call to upgrade to 2.2 without wipe. You can try titanium backup perhaps, not sure.
