Hey ..Guys froyo 2.2 for EMEA countries has just been released ,just vist ur particular country url for acer support and download it.Asia pacific countries have been ignored for now or maybe they will release fo APT in december....Happy Thanksgivin to ya'll..peace :P

oh ok....why the hell they have removed that file??anyway thank u for the link!! do u have download the versione for liquidE pr metal or was the same file?

:P....now we have to wait a modified version for liquid A1......

IT's Funny Acer a Tawainese Company has ignored updates for asia pacific,anyways i believe they are trying to market it hard in Europe & here in the US,so it make sense,well apac will get it by nov end i believe..peace :P

Froyo for Liquid E - Asia Pacific ver will be release on Dec 8, 2010. Pls waiting for upgrading to Froyo

Root cause: First release to operators ( Rogers & Fido), then to major market (EMEA) and last Asia

2nd cause : Take time for Chinese/Thai keyboard/Widgets and Apps

(strange thing is that u begin to post update.zip like the Rogers/Fido one (update.zip with another update.zip in it & a "image" folder), before it was out)

cant upgrade my liquid e ... have newest leak with lcr-f installed... and i gives me error that this version is for liquid with 512mb ram and im using a 256 mb version.... i tried it with the offical upgrade now downloading die bin version... if that fails what do? flash old 2.1 rom ?

Thats not a correct information Vovidaisu, so according to u operators given first prefrence,which is negative,check the last update for eclair 2.1 Asia pacific was released first on 09/06/2010 and later EMEA on 09/29/2010,so what u said s a bit baised and to ur claims its gonna be released on dec 8th,how can u confirm? u got any links to it? if so post it here, would help other users here,appreciate it :P

Goubatsu my advice is roll back to 2.1 rom do a clean wipe format ur SD card too and then try it with the new rom it gotta be good to go :P ..peace

jo, was also my first idea... and the acer download was faster than the bin file (both dan slow ;( ) ... downgrade was succeful and now the upgrade seems to be working.... didn't wiped the sd... thx 4 fast reply

I have to say, Vache's statement does make think the same about vovidaisu.

I did bring this question to Acer Malaysia yesterday and this is what I got :

Acer Taiwan is in the final stage of testing Froyo compatibility for Liquid E & Liquid E Ferrari. We have been told the estimated finish date is end of December. When it is released, it will be available on our website for download for ROM update. Liquid Metal?

Koki the problem with the support staff s,half the time they talk/reply scripted,plus whatever the facebook rep u got is not even sure by support staff,when the whole world see's froyo asia s sleepin,lol which s negative answer,I did call one of 'em acer toll free that dude was talkin out random,anyways my point is when the ROM for EMEA,operators is out,why acer's own region been delayed,anyways gud luck asia pacific,i've a feeling its gonna be up by next week :D

I do hope so, but somehow I downloaded the official EMEA one but I got a MD5 checksum error =(

Can't wait no longer with all these minor problems that Acer had during the leaked bin days

i agree with you, the acer support staff know ntg about this, i get a reply from acer malaysia (support division)saying that they still in "R & D" process which for me is bs :P

then the marketing division told me there is no confirm date yet =.=

the same situation happens during i get my ferrari, they launch the ferrari device on august, then acer malaysia told me to get from one of a famous IT center in malaysia - Lowyat plaza, then i go find it but ntg founded, not even got shop know that model...then i call again they ask me to wait until the PC showcase in malaysia (aka PC Fair), again i go to that fair but ntg found again....i was very angry but still they cannot give me a confirmation date ----- even the day i get my ferrari direct from distributor, funny things is just 2 days before i collect my ferrari the acer malaysia still cannot give me a confirm date of when i can get it (they reply me say tentative end of month which is totally ridiculous)

i thought the md5 checksum error wont effect the flash progress?
