Tethering to a mobile phone.

Hi everyone

next step for me is this really and I am not sure how to set this up.

Pretty sure its the last piece everyone wants now Paul has market and stuff working

Any thoughts/ideas.

Does the Galaxy S have the WiFi Router app? If so, its easy... create your own own hotspot on the phone and then connect the Vega to it via WiFI and off you go!

This is how I do it

I have an xperia x10 that is rooted and has Barnicle WiFi Tether app installed.

once that is broadcasting as a wifi connection my Vega connects :P

There are other tethering apps on the market but Barnicle has been the one that works the best for me.

Yeah, Barnacle is great. If you have a Froyo device, tethering is built in.

I have FroyoVillain on my Hero, and I cannot get my Vega to see it at all.

I have tried Barnacle and the built in Wifi Tether, but neither work!?

What am I doing wrong?

Ive also got a hero running villian.

Tried wireless tether for root users and no joy.

Is it because adhoc rather than access point?
