I said I had searched so don't appreciate snotty comments. :P I want to use iplayer - it needs flash, Other people are reporting they can use it so I presume they have flash player installed. How can this happen? WHat do I do to make iplayer work? Thanks

How can this happen? WHat do I do to make iplayer work? Thanks What Fractro is saying is that the ZTE Blade have an ARM6 processor and flash will only support ARM7 processors or higher. I've read that Flash lite will install but you need to move to Froyo; which is on Beta release at the moment. Maybe you need to move to that if you haven't already done so? Also I did a search for "Adobe Flash" and found some relevant threads on the subject. Edited November 28, 2010 by Gerson2k

How can this happen? WHat do I do to make iplayer work? Thanks No offence, you arent going to get any help with that kind of attitude. And no, the guy was pretty clear, Flash is currently only for ARMv7 devices, the blade is ARMv6 one. This has been covered many times, a search would've turned up the answer for you.

Guest acolwill Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 myPlayer no longer has direct access to the iPlayer streams due to an api access which is no longer allowed by the BBC

How can this happen? WHat do I do to make iplayer work? Thanks Sorry for not being clear.. 1. ZTE Blade aka Orange San Francisco has a ARMv6 Processor. 2. Adobe has not made Flash player which have ARMv6 Processor which means it wont run in ZTE Blade aka Orange San Francisco. 3. Adobe has only made FLash player for Device which have ARMv7 processor or higher. 4. Till now only Flash lite version works for ARMv6 processor and it does not play videos, it can only play swf files example different ads in website. 5. Lastly, you dont have to be angry if you dont get answer ask again, also its not good for health..:D and thank for your thanks.. cheers mate..be happy and learn..
Guest dt_matthews Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 you can get a(n older) version of myPlayer which streams bbc content (and I believe its had its update feature disabled so you shouldnt lose it unwittingly!) just hav a search (on google, not modaco) and you should find a link to it pretty easily

Guest Kihon Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 would flash lite be worth a go ? Not for iPlayer - wont work.
Guest schkinx Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 sorry i meant in general , for sites that use flash video :P my old nokia 5230 could play some flash videos from web pages , but it ran out of memory in seconds lol
Guest Cisco Rooter Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 The iPlayer doesn't use Flash for the iPhone website. Couldn't an app just pretend to be mobile safari and grab the video that way? I seem to recall this is how someone first enabled a perl script to download programs for viewing later, though now I think they use something a bit more complicated to save the Flash stream to get access to the higher quality videos.
Guest IronDoc Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 myPlayer no longer has direct access to the iPlayer streams due to an api access which is no longer allowed by the BBC MyPlayer works fine for me.
