Guest Drizz Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Hey, Is there any way to customise the quick launch thing? I'd like to replace the mail with gmail, internet with opera, facebook with the FB app and the same with twitter with tweetdeck. Thanks.
Guest (Android) Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Any news on this? Really want to get rid off some icons without having to use launcherpro since it does not allow wallpaper sizes to fit to screen..
Guest removed-14 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Swap to launcherpro. Much more customisable than the stock launcher.
Guest (Android) Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) Swap to launcherpro. Much more customisable than the stock launcher. Only problem with launcherpro is that the wallpaper does not fit to screen but rather becomes blown up and only a portion of it zoomed-in is available to see! Edited November 30, 2010 by (Android)

Guest Grant Meek Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 So is there really no way to change this then? Seems a little strange,

When I installed the FB and Twitter apps, the things on the bottom changed automatically.

Guest ashbash Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 That does my head in too, there must be a way of changing it? ADW ?
Guest newbe5 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 My suggestion is to use ADW or Launcherpro (or Zeam?) and then use MultiTask Manager for an impressive OSX-style launcher bar that you can make pop-up in any app you have open. You can use it to switch apps, kill apps, or launch new ones
Guest hitt Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 ADW ? I tried ADW, but have the same problem with the wallpaper.
Guest ashbash Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I tried ADW, but have the same problem with the wallpaper. That sucks, wish these guys would get their act together, wups rant about free software ... ... sorry!
Guest sipart Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 That sucks, wish these guys would get their act together, wups rant about free software ... ... sorry! Installed Home Switcher for Froyo (http://www.androidzoom.com/uk/android_applications/tools/home-switcher-for-froyo_odck.html). I'll explain why and it has some caveats: I use LP+ and as you say the wallpaper doesn't stretch properly. So I end up going through a little process to get it right. After boot the Vega always goes to portrait so I flick orientation lock off and get it into landscape and then flick orientation lock back on - **First caveat and also my pref' - I always use the Vega in Landscape and have it locked to Landscape (hardware switch and LauncerPro)** Once in Landscape I use Home Switcher to flick to the default launcher - this causes the Wallpaper to stretch properly - then hit Home again and I go back to LP as that is my default Home app - bing! - wallpaper stays stretched properly.
Guest thedicemaster Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 pretty sure it's a problem caused by the high-res screen on the vega, and the low-quality gallery3D.
