Guest passie42 Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, I followed and read so many threads but I dont know what to do anymore. I flashed to the 315_12332_00 firmware on my Streak that I bought unlocked in the Netherlands. Baseband now is GAUSB1A131500EU build 12332 and everything works!! (I did not write down the original 1.6 baseband number so I dont know what that was) Butt......when I rebooted my Streak the GSM/3G services quit. If I check the settings it now says baseband unknown!!!!! (?) There is no way to get the GSM/3G functions back except for flashing the 315_12332_00 firmware again! After first boot it's ok but after a reboot my baseband is gone again! I tried a lot to downgrade but I can not get it to work :-( I wanted to flash to the original state 1.6 and wait for my OTA update or flash to Streak_309_0_00 firmware. How can I make this happen? Although WiFi works the device really feels bricked right now, saved a long time to buy it :-( Someone please, please help me Kind regards Passie Edited November 27, 2010 by passie42

Go to this thread: http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...-6-annoncement/ and flash both the new baseband and Stephen's newest firmware! I promise you won't regret it... Guest Techneut Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 Did you install Dell's PC-suite and Koush's recovery 2.0.5.1 first? Use 'search' on this forum to find them, and follow the instructions to install them on your computer... Only then, you will be able to flash the new baseband. Sorry, but life is never easy... sigh.

As I've already said 4 posts above and you inlcuded in the quote! Edited November 28, 2010 by fards

Guest nozza Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 Sorry for the noob-ish question... i updated to hyde's 2.2 but forgot to flash the new baseband so it now says unknown baseband. Obviously i need to flash the baseband but do i need to re-install hyde's 2.2. It's all about laziness really, if i don't have to i'd rather not do it! thanks in advance

Guest nozza Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 i've flashed BBs to Steve's ROMs without fac resets or re-flashing from clockwork, so should be ok to just flash the BB Cheers for that. i gave it a go and Success! i'm getting the hang of how to do things but i must admit i'm guessing at what is actually happening in the background. Good fun though and well worth it - 2.2 up and running and looking good :)
Guest adzman808 Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 No worries, I haven't got a clue what i'm doing, but I just follow the instructions and reap the rewards A new bb seems to like a couple of restarts to get going.... But that may just be my dumb perception
