Handy tools for newcomers

...picked up several files that can be found on this forum, and compressed them into one single file

Rationale:

"The Ultimate Pulse Owners Guide" isn't obsolete!

I've collected these files because I think a couple of steps over there could be put together

You'll still have to download the official 2.1 and a custom rom from somewhere else

Usage:

After upgrading to one of the official 2.1 roms,

boot up your device to bootloader by pressing and holding [Vol-][end call][power sw] buttons together

and then connect the device to your windows PC

(install the device driver attached within the zipped folder, if you're asked to)

run install_recovery.bat (reboot automatically)

go to settings→apps→dev→USB debug, turn it on

run 2.1_root.bat (reboot automatically)

After your device boots up to recovery mode, You're free to flash whatever roms you like

(remember to wipe data/reset)

Whats in it:

adb & fastboot for window$

Superuser

Clockwork recovery

plus: two tiny scripts

fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img reboot

(and)

adb.exe wait-for-device remount

adb.exe push su system/xbin

adb.exe install -r Superuser.apk

adb.exe reboot recovery[/codebox]
