i made the topic to discuss the problem many of us facing with the device stacking on the android logo after trying to flash any froyo rom available here...

so far..

wipe data

wipe cache

flash the rom

on the process "coping files" there is a lot of "deleting files..." and then you get the message that everything is ok but the phone doesn't boot up,only the android logo shows.

there is no problem with the eclair 2.1 roms.

can anyone provide the chinese beta 2.2 rom, to flash it first and then redo the steps, maybe this will help

update:

thank you guys for your help but still nothing.i left the phone for more than 2-3 hours on the android logo but no progress.i also check for ext partition on the SD card.

i think the problem is on the step when clockwork deleting files through the update process, did you guys notice that also?

your not giving it enough time

The first time I tried it, I left it for ages and it stuck on that screen< I thought it was FUBAR

The 2nd time I went nad made a cuppa, watched some tv, and when I came back about 20 mins later it had actually booted and was perfectly fine.

The first bootup does take a LONG time - be patient, VERY patient, even leave it to one side and come back after an hour, if by then its still not booted then you know you have a problem, but I bet it does boot fine.

As stated before have to be patient with the 1st reboot after flashing a custom rom, I have had no problem to date with the reboot, the last rom I flashed was FLB Froyo R3 Lite.

Yes there are some very good ROMs with 2.1................(I will stick to 2.1 until 2.2 is obtained)

But I do try the betas 2.2 ....its only a matter of time....

Do you have a ext partition on the SD card? If so make sure it's wiped. And yes you need to wait on the first boot.

The Chinese Froyo pre-production ROM dump did not work with the blade/OSF, the Devs on this forum got it working and released the Alpha and Beta Froyo ROMs the you've flashed.

Your SD card may be faulty? Try flashing with a different SD card if possible.

Do you have a blade with 256mb ram?

Mine is a hungarian version with TFT and 256mb ram, and i get the same error. I've read on a hungarian blade page, that Froyo is not yet available for our phones, but i don't know the exact reason why.

Anyone have ideas?

mine is the greek version witch is actually the same with the hungarian version.so should be the ram the problem.256 ram its enough to run froyo but we need a fix from rom chefs.i had the same problem with the 512 version of acer liquid not able to run some early version of froyo and the chefs fixed that.
