Hi there

I am looking to purchase the Oranage San Francisco in white, but every site seems to give completely different specs.

From oranage.com - 150MB :D

From play.com - 512MB (maybe just a copy and paste of the specs from the grey version?)

From prepaywizard.co.uk - 150MB

150MB seems quite a downgrade from 512MB :P What's going on? Also, some are reporting TFT, whilst some state OLED. This is so confusing, not sure whether I should cancel my preorder. I don't want an android phone with 150MB and a TFT when people have the same phone with 512MB and an OLED screen :/

BIG EDIT: For some reason I mixed RAM up with internal memory ^^ My bad, I hope the white comes with 512MB RAM and an OLED screen still :D

Sent a message to Play.com asking them to confirm whether the white version has 512MB of RAM with an OLED screen. Told them there might be a mistake with the specs on their website if not. Will post the reply I get from them :P

Reply I caught in the hotukdeals thread:

Spoke to someone at Orange today and he said that the white version has a TFT screen rather than the OLED on the grey, and the TFT is supposedly better because there have been some problems with the screen on the grey one. Anyone else got info on the difference between the screens?

Oranage now have the grey one back in stock. Not sure whether to cancel my preorder with play.com and get the grey from Oranage :/ Wouldn't it be funny if the grey one now had 256MB RAM and a TFT screen :D

Apparently Finnish version has TFT screen, 512MB RAM and 5MP camera.

So specs really vary a lot.

I don't think that the 5MP Blade makes much better pictures than my SF with 3.2MP. You haven't heard that what will be the price of that 5MP Blade?

Tele2, Elisa or EMT haven't talked about Blade?

Elisasse tuleb detsembri alguses, Elisa rahvas ei tea veel hindade kohta midagi...

Ilmselt tuleb Soome omaga identne versioon.

Saunalahti tavahind on 189€, kliendihind 117€, ilmselt tuleb meil samasse kanti.

Estonian Elisa will have Blade in December, proSPAMly in very beginning.

Elisa Employees dont know anything about pricing yet.

Its very likely that version will be identical to the one Finnish Elisa/Saunalahti are selling.

As I mentioned on the other thread, I stuck the Finish ROM on OUK Blade and I could take pictures perfectly fine... are we 100% SURE its a 5mp camera?

are the resulting pictures bigger/better than the 3.2mp ones?

Please do not freak me out!!! I have preorder a white one and do not want surprises.

Orange web said white and grey sanfran have 150MB internal memory - or is wrong (most likely) or they have change the phone. Does somebody how has buy a phone recently from orange check the specs of his phone?

From what I understood, there's 150MB internal STORAGE memory. There's 512MB of RAM though.

I haven't found any definitive answer on the state of the screens but I've e-mailed Orange, I'll post up an answer as soon as I get it, unless someone gets there first.

I think the newer kernels all have support for the 5MP camera (and the "old" 3.2MP). The Hungarian config.gz suggest this. Not sure that the released kernel source has it though. Just like the Hungarian ROM has LCD support _and_ OLED support. Seems so far all ROMs have been backward compatible but I doubt an Orange based ROM will run flawless on a Finnish (or Hungarian) blade.

How is the wifi issue with the Finnish ROM? It seems to be a slightly newer build than the Hungarian one.

Hi :P

http://android.modaco.com/index.php?s=&amp...t&p=1493137

to check out amount of RAM(and many other info), get Quick System Info or Android System Info from market.

Mine(black) from UK reports also 415 MB, so you've got the "right" one :D
