Guest spanner44 Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 I have a 8 Gb card which I have tried in vain to format, but once removed from the reader, and einserted, the partions are not made. Upon a further examination, and a surface test, it appears that about the last 750 mb -1Gb is corrupted (don't know how ??). So the question is, can I un-corrupt the corrupted section. If not can I partition it leaving the last 1Gb not allocated and will it still work (so thus treating it as a 7 Gb card), or will the corrupted part affect the performance or spread to the formatted portions. I don't want to really throw this card just yet, as it wasn't cheap, but if that is the best option, then I will just have to accept it. Any ideas anyone ?
