Guest merlin617 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 Yes I started having exactly the same problem last night, anyone got any ideas? found this "RMNet is the default interface Android uses connect you to data, internet, calls, etc. When porting Android to the HD2 it did just that however is seemed to be somewhat broken. It lost packets (data) when downloading/transferring. Basically, not giving you your full bandwidth. This was fixed with PPP (point-to-point protocol). The devs implemented this because it allowed you to use your full bandwidth on your network (no lost packets). The downfall to this is it randomly losses its connection and/or locks up Android." but I don't know why it switched to rmnet0

Guest rjm2k Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 BUMP phone has an ip of 10.124.149.211/29 You have enabled "Allow mobile discovery" in the settings for Network Discovery so it's not even attempting to do it over wifi :P
Guest merlin617 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 You have enabled "Allow mobile discovery" in the settings for Network Discovery so it's not even attempting to do it over wifi :P Thanks but it makes no differance, with that enabled I know its connected with the right ip. Its been intermittant but I cannot connect at all to the WiFi. Still have no clue how to get it to connect properly.
Guest merlin617 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 just disabled encryption and it made a connection immediately. Then put the encryption back to WPA-PSK and its still connected. ??
